Rogoznica is a small Croatian fishing town situated in a beautiful bay about 5 km from the popular resort of Primošten and 25 km from the town of Sibenik in central Dalmatia. The historic part of Rogoznica was originally an island that was connected with the Croatian mainland by artificial hills.
There is a small marina for passenger transport with a yacht port - marina Frapa Rogoznica, considered one of the most beautiful on the Croatian seaside. The central part of the marina is located on an artificial island. In close proximity to the Frapa marina, an interesting natural phenomenon is the Dragon Eye Lake, which is connected with the sea and thus with salt water. Lake Rogoznica has recently become a protected natural monument.
The surrounding rugged coastline with plenty of vegetation offers a nice swim and quiet recreation. The coastline has expanded considerably in recent years, not only along the seashore but also on the slopes above it. The main source of finance is tourism as almost every coastal village.
