Posedarje is located on the shores of the Novigrad Sea in Northern Dalmatia, 25 km northeast of the port city of Zadar.

In the town of Posedarje there are about 1500 inhabitants, who in addition to tourism feed on agriculture. Tourists can visit cafes, shops, a bakery, a fish shop, markets and restaurants where you can taste homemade specialties. One of the local specialties is the famous Posedar (Dalmatian) prosciutto.

At Posedarje there are three small islands, the center of the village is only 2 km from the motorway exit. The original settlement Posedarje is situated in a place that has been inhabited since the 12th century. From the interesting monuments you can remember for example.

Church of st. Mary - a medieval single-nave building built on the site of an older Romanesque building. Kostelík sv. Ghost - a single-nave building from the 12th century - on a small island connected by a narrow passage to the mainland. Parish Church of Our Lady of the Rosary.

In Posedarje there are many small, mostly pebble beaches, surrounded by pine trees. In Posedarje there are two main beaches, pebble is located in the center and the other is sandy in a shallow bay with a very warm sea, therefore Posedarje is a suitable location for families with small children.

You can rent water skis, bikes, kayaks, speedboat and tennis courts and a football field. Posedarje is an ideal place for lovers of mountain hiking, as the village Starigrad, about 20 km away, is the entrance to the canyon Velike Paklenice in the National Park Paklenica. Vaganski litter, the highest mountain of this mountain range, reaches a height of 1757 meters above sea level. There is also the highest rock Anica Kuk with an elevation of 712 meters.
